Dr Tanuj Dada is currently Professor of Ophthalmology at RP Centre for Ophthalmic Sciences, All India Institute of Medical Sciences, New Delhi. He has over 300 research publications in peer reviewed indexed journals and has authored 5 textbooks on glaucoma. He is currently the Secretary General of the International Society of Glaucoma Surgery, Senior Chair of the Associate Advisory Board of the World Glaucoma Association (WGA), Co-Chair Education Committee of WGA and Serves on Board of Directors of the Asia Pacific Glaucoma Society. He is the Chief Editor of the Journal of Current Glaucoma Practice and Associate Editor of the Journal of Glaucoma.

Dr. Ahmed has been a leader in novel treatments for glaucoma, cataract, and lens implant surgery. His pioneering work in innovative glaucoma surgery includes coining the term microinvasive glaucoma surgery (MIGS). An assistant professor at the University of Toronto, Professor at the University of Utah, also a research director at Kensington Eye Institute and director of the Glaucoma and Advanced Anterior Segment Surgery (GAASS) fellowship, both at the University of Toronto. In addition, He is the head of the ophthalmology division at Trillium Health Partners, Mississauga, Ontario. He’s recognized as one of the most experienced complex eye surgeons in the world.

A/Prof Chelvin Sng is a Consultant at the National University Hospital in Singapore. She graduated from Gonville and Caius College in Cambridge University with triple First Class Honours and Distinctions. As a recipient of the Academic Medicine and Development Award, she completed her glaucoma fellowship at Moorfields Eye Hospital.

A/Prof Sng has a special interest in the use of glaucoma drainage devices and is the Convenor of the Asia-Pacific Glaucoma Society Minimally Invasive Glaucoma Surgery (APGS-MIGS) Interest Group. Besides being trained in the implantation of Ahmed and Baerveldt tube shunt devices, she is amongst the first surgeons in Asia to be accredited in the use of several MIGS devices.She was awarded a grant to study the outcomes of MIGS in Asian patients, and has conducted training courses on MIGS at ESCRS and APAO meetings. 

A/Prof Sng is also actively involved in research on glaucoma surgery and imaging. She was awarded the New Investigators Grant from the National Medical Research Council for her work on the “Novel Ocular Biometric Risk Factors in Primary Angle Closure Glaucoma”. She is the co-inventor of the Paul Glaucoma Implant, which has attained CE mark and is currently undergoing commercialization.

A/Prof Sng has received international awards from AAO (Best Poster Prize), ASCRS (Best Paper of Session Prize), ANZGIG (Travel Scholarship) and ARVO (Travel Grant). She was also awarded the Singapore Society of Ophthalmology Young Ophthalmologist Award, and was voted as one of the Top 50 Rising Stars in the global Ophthalmology Power List 2017 (#9 on the Power List).
